Crystal Adams’s Story

Crystal Adams – God Ordered Every Step

Several years ago, I was diagnosed with thyroid nodules. My physician monitored their progression carefully, but ultimately advised a thyroidectomy due to the size of the nodules and concerns regarding potential malignancy. Then, just days before my surgical consultation—on October 6, 2025—I received unexpected news: I was pregnant. My oldest daughter had prayed for two years for a sibling, and God had answered her prayer.

This created a difficult decision: proceed with surgery or wait until after delivery. My surgeon, hematologist, OB/GYN, and endocrinologist all agreed it was safest to wait. We prayed continually, trusting God to guide every decision. During my pregnancy, the nodules grew slightly and a new one appeared, but on May 20, 2025, I safely delivered our beautiful second daughter.

Shortly after giving birth, my right eyelid began to droop. An MRI revealed that a meningioma brain tumor had grown ten times larger and was pressing on my optic nerve. I was still scheduled for thyroid surgery, but my hematologist recommended waiting at least six weeks to reduce the risk of blood clots. Fear tried to creep in, but my husband and I prayed that God would order every step. Without us knowing, the surgeons rearranged the order of my procedures in the exact way we had prayed for.

On August 5th, 2025, I underwent a craniotomy. I returned home only three days later, but soon felt pain in my leg. I told the emergency department I believed I had a clot, and I was right—blood clots had formed in my leg and right lung. Yet again, God protected my life.

Through every test, every tear, and every prayer, God kept His hand on me. Scriptures like Jeremiah 29:11, James 1:2–4, and the book of Job carried me through. Like Job, I learned that even in suffering, God is faithful. When I woke up from surgery, my hands were lifted in praise.

All four thyroid nodules and the brain tumor were tested—and every single one was benign. Today, I stand healed, healthy, whole, and surrounded by my family. I am living proof that God’s power is real. He still heals, He still provides, and He still performs miracles.

To God be the glory.
